Of course, any ‘best’ list is subjective, and this list of the best small RV camper vans is no different! Following is a list of the best small RV campers from around the world, that are available in 2024.
I’ve made no secret of the fact that I love small RVs, and one of my favourite RV types is the camper van.
I dream of being able to go anywhere I want while taking my whole life with me.
Whether it’s pulling up to a beautiful beach for an afternoon swim and then deciding to stay there for dinner and a few wines, before snuggling into my comfy bed for the night.
Or heading across country to spend time with family.
There is something so romantic about the nimble-ness, yet comfort, of a well-designed and well-made camper van.
In this list, I’ve included only new 2024 campervans.
Looking for the perfect camper van?
It can be a bit overwhelming trying to find the campervan/Class B that best suits your needs.
So we’ve created a spreadsheet with ALL the campervans that can be bought new in the USA.
It includes the exterior dimensions, interior height, base price, seating and bed layout, bathroom, solar and air conditioning/heating; with links to each one model.
Buy the Class B Master List spreadsheet here.
If you want to have a look at any of these other types of small RVs, I’ve written about those too. You can click the links to see those posts:

Small Fiberglass Travel Trailers
Lightweight travel trailers with a bathroom
Slide On Truck Campers
Small Fifth Wheel Campers – under 25ft
Just to be clear, a Class B and a camper van are the same thing. Just a different way of calling it… like every other RV type, it has multiple names.
You’ll no doubt know that most manufacturers have multiple models of RV, and since I’m looking at ‘small’ campervans, I’ve decided to show the smallest camper vans of their available models.
Oh, and only models that include a bathroom.

Revel – by Winnebago
Let’s start with the big guns of the RV world; the Revel by Winnebago. I’ve seen lots of other bloggers talk about how much they love this little number. Here’s a walkthrough of the Revel by Kara and Nate, as they compared it to their self-converted Sprinter van.
I love the layout of the Winnebago Revel, and it’s obviously positioned as an adventure vehicle for those that like to get out and enjoy outdoor activities.
Here’s a quick walkthrough of the van by Winnebago Motor Homes:
Price: from $210,293

Interstate Nineteen – by Airstream
Hailed as a luxury campervan the Interstate Nineteen is the smallest of the Airstream camper vans. Measuring just, you guessed it, 19ft, it packs a luxurious punch in the camper van market. It seems weird to call it a camper van… in my head, camper vans look more like VW Kombi’s with flowers painted on the outside.
While I’m not totally keen on a seating / bed combo (I always feel like the joins in the cushions must be a bit horrible to sleep on) it does make this van quite multifunctional.
Below is a quick walkthrough of the 2023 Airstream Interstate Nineteen
Price: from $200,681

SS Agile – by Roadtrek
What an appropriate name ‘Agile’ is for this little van. Another diminutive 19ft van with all the normal stuff of these camper vans, including the bed that converts to a seating area.
Below is a quick walkthrough of the Roadtrek SS Agile.
Price: from $195,986

Nova – by Coachman
The Coachman Nova is another camper van that seems to be trying to appeal to the outdoor adventurer (I make this assumption totally based on their exterior van shots which show rear bike racks). But it’s not 4WD like other ‘adventure camper vans’ such as the Winnebago Revel
It also has a very clean and minimalist interior which would appeal to those who don’t like fussy interiors.
Price: from $111,000

Xcursion – by Fleetwood RV
Fleetwood have released the new 2024 Xcursion built on the Mercedes Sprinter chassis.
There doesn’t seem to be much information about this new model yet, but from what I can see on their website, it looks like a fresh and no-fuss kind of interior.
There are 4 layouts to choose from, with sleeping for 2 and belted seats for up to 8.
Price: from $191,993

Patriot – by American Coach
American Coach make some luxurious RVs, and the Patriot is no different.
There are five layouts to choose from, and plenty of options for extra seating either on the lounge at the rear of the van, or additional captains chairs up the front.
Price: from $206,243

Bayside – by Chinook RV
Lesser known Chinook RV builds the Bayside on the Ford Transit chassis. I love how the SS layout (they have 2 layouts) puts the sofa/bed on the side of the van and the bathroom at the rear.
Click here to see more information on the Chinook Bayside.
Arriva – by Coach House
The bathroom in the Arriva Class B RV by Coach House, makes a very nice change from all the other campervans. If a larger bathroom is important to you, this is the van for you!
You can see more details about the Arriva over on the Coach House RV website.
Ethos – by Entegra Coach
Entegra Coach stands out as the only Class B RV that sleeps 4! The pop top roof allows for a loft sleeping area, and with the 2 extra captains chairs, this Class B truly is a family friendly option.
You can see what the pop top loft area looks like in this video walkthrough.
Find more information about the Ethos van on the Entegra Coach website.
Strada – by Grech RV
With so many options for seating, the Strada camper van is a practical vehicle for transporting lots of people, as well as a being a lovely camper for a couple.
Grech RV have a number of Class B models to choose from, you can check them all out at the Grech RV website.
Comet – by Jayco
At less than 18ft, the Comet is tiny compared to almost every other van that has a bathroom. And for that… I love it!
New to the Jayco range, the Comet is perfect for city camping and urban driving, where having a small and nimble vehicle makes life so much easier.
Check out the video below:
Price: from $133,050
You can see more information on the Comet, and other Jayco Class B vans, over on the Jayco website.
So the Class B / Camper Vans that I’ve listed above are all available in North America. For those of us in the rest of the world there is not a lack of choices either!
I’m going to have a look at the two other big markets for the RV industry, Australia and Europe.
Let’s start with the Europeans, as they’re already great at making smaller RVs and, in my opinion, they have great styling.
Small Camper Vans | Europe
Carrera – by Swift Motorhomes
The Carrera comes in 5 different layouts, accommodating 2-4 people in seating and sleeping.
Here’s a video walkthrough showing all the features.
Price: from £71,495

V-Line SE by Auto-Trail
This little beauty is only 5.4M (17’9”) so it’s the smallest of this group. But it has all the ‘campervan’ requirements including a bathroom.
Price: from £67,472

Twin Axess – by Adria
Another small campervan by the Europeans, the Twin Axess 540 by Adria is also only 17’9” but, to me, it looks more luxurious than the V-Line above.

Small RVs and Campers | Australia
Wattle – by Horizon Motorhomes
I love these Class B campervans by Horizon Motorhomes.
I think it may be because I follow the Horizon Instagram page and they show pictures of people out in the Australian landscape, just enjoying all the beauty on offer. It totally makes me want to be out there too. And it makes me want one of their vans. Good marketing I s’pose.
Price: from AUD $184,000

JRV Campervan – by Jayco
Jayco must be one of the biggest manufacturers of caravans here in Australia, but they’re not nearly so well known for their motorhome and campervan range. However, their popular name and huge dealer network for the caravans probably helps them get these campers out there too.
Price: from AUD $127,500

Definitely should include/add OFF GRID ADVENTURE VANS. Very high-quality builds - both rentals and full conversions
